So, A few people have asked how to retouch and what I do to pictures. So, I'm gonna spill the beans on a basic portrait retouch. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I used to do this all day long for my job so I feel like I'm a good source of information.

Oh yeah, a little disclaimer. For a long time I thought that photomanipulation was a horrible thing. It did nothing but make girls and women feel terrible about themselves. Yes, there are extremes that people shouldn't delve into but in reality, this is how other people see us. We look at a raw image of ourselves and we think "Oh my gosh, I'm a hideous monster!" But, to those we love and who love us, to them we appear like the finished product. They don't see all our flaws, they see us as God would see us, as perfect creatures who need no help at all. That is why I don't mind retouching at all, that's why I love it!

Oh yeah, this is a stock picture by [link] ENJOY!!!

this is ok but her skin doesnt need much retouching to begin with... :/ methinks if you are retouching skin, retouch a disaster.

this tutorial does a pretty good job of it: [link]

Thanks! Just be careful using the clone stamp. If you do it too much it becomes very obvious it was cloned.
